Our Largest mill can handle 55" Diameter Logs!
What we can mill and what it costs
We can mill logs from 12" to 55" in diameter, measured at the small end, and 4' or longer. Logs longer than 12' are cut into shorter sections first, since 12' is the longest we can kiln dry.
We charge $150/hr for milling logs up to 30" in diameter, with a 1 hour minimum. Larger logs over 30" (up to 55") go on our LX250 55" sawmill at $200/hr, also with a 1 hour minimum, and take longer to mill due to their size. End sealing is included. For most good size logs this usually works out to about $0.60 to $1.25 per board foot, depending on the size of the logs and how thick you want them cut.
Stacking and stickering is free when your lumber stays with us to dry. If you take it home and want it stacked on stickers, it's $50 per 500 board feet. Use the estimate calculator below to price your own logs.
