Parota G3-A7-042

These exotic slabs of wood come from the beautiful land of Costa Rica where trees have almost 12 month growing seasons and can reach tree-mendous sizes! This means you can get huge, one-piece, table-top size slabs!

From their deep rich color to beautiful flowing grain lines, either Monkey Pod or Parota make excellent choice for your next big project. While Monkey Pod is a very dense hardwood and is great for tabletops, bartops and more; dont rule out its low density cousin, Parota, which can be a great lighter-weight option as well.

**Note on Pickup Times**

These species come to us on a Sea-Container from Costa Rica and they spend about 4-6 weeks in this "hot-box" on the humid ocean after leaving the jungle...needless to say they arrive typically with higher than preferred Moisture Levels. For this reason, we run each order through our iDRY Vacuum Kiln for min 1-2 weeks to make sure your slab has an acceptable Moisture Content before Pickup. This obviously ads to our lead times, no slabs will be kiln dried until purchased.

**Shipping is not included and should be discussed before ordering. All canceled or returned orders are subject to a 10% restocking fee regardless of reason (these are 400-500 lb slabs and moving is not easy).

**Slabs are sanded to show grain, but should not be assumed to be flat. We can flatten for an additional fee as well if desired. Please make a request before ordering.
